Ingredients
- 1 pkg (350 g) Gardein® Crispy Chick’n Filets (4 filets)
- 1 can (540 mL) Aylmer® Accents Italian Seasonings Chunky Stewed Tomatoes, drained
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) pesto
- 4 ciabatta buns, toasted and split
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) fresh baby arugula
Directions

Step one
Arrange Gardein® Crispy Chick’n Filets on baking sheet; cook according to package directions.

Step two
Top patties evenly with Aylmer® Accents Italian Seasonings Chunky Stewed Tomatoes and mozzarella. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Broil for 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and tomatoes are heated through.

Step three
Combine mayonnaise with pesto; spread evenly over bottoms of buns. Top with cooked Gardein® Crispy Chick’n Filets and arugula. Cap with tops of buns.
Tips
These sandwiches can easily be made vegan – simply substitute vegan alternatives for mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise and pesto.
